Cherise is Co-Founder & President of Cyber Threat Be Gone LLC (CTBG), a full-service cyber security company that helps organizations develop, test, and transfer cyber security systems to maximize and protect their market position. In her almost 20 years in the cyber security realm, she has managed global security operations centers for some of world’s leading firms including Enbridge, Inc., Noble Drilling, and Ernst & Young Advanced Security Centers (Singapore, NYC & Houston). Her demonstrated experience includes managing SOC-as-a-service, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, incident response, and SCADA/ICS/PCD design, security system integration, and cyber program development.
In 2015 she led a comprehensive cyber security program that resulted in the world’s first offshore drilling rigs to achieve the Achilles Practice Certification owned by GE. In 2016 she worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies in reducing risk, finalizing one long term project with leading the board of a major Houston firm in their development of a cyber risk reduction roadmap. In 2017, she continues to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to many large corporations in a state of IT transition or critical infrastructure programs where cyber security remains a top-tier risk.
She has served in an executive and strategic advisor for cyber security systems in both corporate IT and industrial control systems companies. In her spare time, she is an adjunct professor at the University of Houston where she coaches a team to compete in the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition.
She has a master of business administration from the University of St Thomas, a bachelor of science in computer science from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Also, she has served for five years on the Board of Directors for The Rose, a Houston based non-profit aimed at providing health care access to insured and uninsured women.
